Though only living a mere 5 minutes away from each other for years, Brandon and Jessica didn’t meet until March of 2020. They matched on Tinder on March 8th, just days before the world went into lockdown for the COVID-19 pandemic. Their first few dates were totally virtual: Instagram video calls from nine o’clock at night to two or three in the morning. This went on for a few nights, until they finally decided to meet in person. On Wednesday, March 25th, 2020, Brandon walked down the driveway of Jessica’s parent’s house in Clifton for the first time, where Jessica met him at the gate, and they exchanged a quick, and somewhat awkward, hug. After introducing Brandon to Jessica’s parents, Brandon sat and talked with them for almost 2 hours. Eventually, Jessica and Brandon made their way into the basement where they watched A Quiet Place and hung out for the rest of the night, and they’ve been hanging out ever since. Now, 6 years later to the day, on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026, they’ll become husband and wife. March 25th is made even more important to Brandon and Jessica because that is the same day Brandon’s parents got married back in 1995. It feels like a blessing to the bride- and groom-to-be that they met on that day, so sharing Sandra and Michael’s wedding anniversary felt necessary.
