St. Johns gave use a couple of things; loans, multiple degrees, but most importantly each other. We met in English class in 2008. We were paired up by our professor to be "partners" on a writing project, critiquing each others work (his critique is framed and hanging in our bedroom at this very moment). This partnership turned out to be lifelong. Meeting in college was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because we met young and got to grow with one another. A curse because we met young and got to grow with one another. We have been through the best of times and the worst of times; college and grad school and careers and changing careers. But, what was always constant was our love and commitment. On November 10, 2017, we got engaged in a very sincere and personal way . It was perfect. We spent the night celebrating with our closest friends and families. October 5, 2019 cannot come soon enough .
