Like all great modern love stories, ours started with a swipe! We met on Bumble back in April 2021 and went on our (first) first date. Then came a brief intermission. Some might call it ghosting, but Emily prefers to call it “taking her time.” Fast forward a year to St. Patrick’s Day, when a vodka-fueled Snapchat from Emily to Matt kicked things back into motion. Soon after, we went on our second first date, and that turned out to be the last first date either of us would ever have. We made it official on June 6, 2022, and it’s been our own kind of fairytale ever since. Over the past few years, we’ve fallen in love, become each other’s best friends, and built a life full of laughter, travel, and plenty of dog hair. We’re proud dog parents to Archie, Luna, and our sweet angel girl Bailey. We became one big family and bought our home (and party pad!) to start our next exciting chapter. On June 4, 2025, one day before our three-year anniversary, what was supposed to be a normal walk in the park with our dogs turned into something much bigger. Matt got down on one knee, and after an abnormal amount of expletives, it was the easiest “yes” Emily’s ever said. We can’t wait to celebrate our next chapter and our love story with all of our favorite humans!
