Our Story: How the Force Brought Us Together Every great love story starts somewhere… ours began with a very cute guy behind a counter. He worked at a local shop, and the moment I saw him, I knew I had to find out more about him. Luckily, my coworker happened to be dating one of his coworkers, so naturally I started asking questions. Eventually I managed to learn his last name and decided to take a leap of faith. I sent him a message on Facebook. …And then waited. And waited. No response. So I did the only reasonable thing someone with a crush could do: I walked back into the store, awkwardly stood there waiting while he helped customers, and when he finally had a moment I blurted out: “You should check your Facebook.” Then I immediately ran out of the store. That night, he finally replied to the message. And the rest, as they say, is history. What started as a slightly awkward DM (and a dramatic store exit) turned into dates, laughter, and eventually the greatest adventure of all — building a life together and welcoming our amazing kid into the world. So on May the 4th, with the Force clearly on our side, we’re making it official. Because sometimes the best love stories start with a little courage… and a very bold Facebook message.
