What airport should I fly into? You have two options - Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is about 45 to 50 minutes away and usually has the most flight choices and better prices. Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH) is only 10 minutes from the island hotels but has fewer flights and can be more expensive. Where should I stay? We recommend staying either in Bluffton (closest to the venue) or on Hilton Head Island (closest to the beach, restaurants). We have room blocks at two different hotels but we also strongly recommend checking out VRBO or AirBnB! Will there be transportation to the wedding? Yes! If you are staying in Hilton Head, on Saturday we plan to provide shuttle from The Westin Hilton Head Resort & Spa to the venue and back at the end of the night. If you choose your own hotel or a rental property like Airbnb, you will be responsible for your own transportation, or you can meet at the Westin to hop on the shuttle. Ubers are limited, especially at night so please refer to the "Travel & Lodging" tab for Taxi recommendations. How do I get through the gate at Rose Hill Plantation? The Mansion at Rose Hill is inside a gated community. At the main entrance gatehouse, you will be asked for your name and a photo ID. Just tell security you are attending our wedding, then follow signs to the mansion. Please allow extra time for this.
What is happening on Friday? If you are in town on Friday, we would love to see you at our welcome event that evening at Okan in Bluffton, SC. Details on timing, dress code and other info will be on the Events page once finalized. What is happening on Saturday? The ceremony and reception are on Saturday at the same venue. The ceremony begins promptly at 4:30pm. Please arrive early around 4:00 to allow time to get through the security gate, park and get settled.
What should I wear? Guests are invited to wear "Summer Cocktail-Style" outfits in light, breathable fabrics and fun colors. Think polished, festive, and comfortable for a warm-weather celebration. Dresses (maxi, midi or knee-length), and dressy jumpsuits are perfect for women. Consider pairing with block heels or wedges as the event does take place on a grass lawn. For men, a suit or sports coat and dress shirt with slacks is great, ties optional. Keep it elevated but easy, and feel free to have fun with color and summer prints! Is everything outside? The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are planned for the lawn under the trees at the mansion. In case of bad weather, our planner and the venue have a rain plan with tenting. Will there be parking at the venue? Yes. There is on site parking at Mansion at Rose Hill. Please follow signs and attendants and park only in the designated areas on the mansion property (no street parking). You can leave your car overnight and pick it up the next morning if needed. Are kids invited? This will be an adults only event. Thank you for understanding. Can I bring a plus one? If your invitation specified then yes, otherwise we are unable to accommodate additional guests.
What should I do if I can’t attend? We will miss you. Please let us know by responding “declines” on your RSVP as soon as you are able so we can plan accordingly. Can I take photos during the ceremony? We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present. Our photographer and videographer will be capturing everything, and we cannot wait to share those moments with you.
