Brandon and Samantha first met one another on social media. On the evening of May 28, 2017, Brandon messaged Samantha on Instagram. Brandon began the conversation with “Hey weird question but is Frank your dad?” He must of thought that was the best way to get Samantha to respond to his message. However, it worked like a charm. Their conversation continued, talking about hockey, their college lives, and ended with Brandon getting Samantha’s phone number. Two weeks later they went on their first date to the Richland Movie Theater, the movie they saw remains unknown to both of them but was followed with dinner at Applebee’s. Then, against Brandon’s will, they ended the date back at Samantha’s house where he got to meet the whole family.
