We met as teenagers — two kids who had no idea what was ahead of us. Lucas was best friends with my brother, so he was always around, and somewhere between all the visits and laughter, something just clicked. We grew up together, graduated high school and college side by side, built a home, adopted two cats, and shared every season of life hand in hand.
