An entertainment district just south of the river with a postcard view of the Texas capitol building. Try out some western wear at Allen's Boots, support our local crafters and artists at Paper Work, snap a photo at the famous "I love you so much" mural on the side of Jo's Coffee, or grab a bite at one of the many great restaurants this area has to offer. We recommend parking near Torchy's Tacos and walking down the hill towards the capitol.

Historic biergarten near the Texas Capitol. Also a favorite happy hour spot for Erin and her coworkers!

An Irish pub a few blocks from the Texas Capitol and Lady Bird Lake. Check out the historic Driskill hotel right around the corner or stroll East 6th Street, the heart of Austin's famously chaotic nightlife.
