Manitou Incline
This is one of Colorado’s most iconic and challenging hiking trails. Located right in town, this famous trail climbs nearly 2,000 vertical feet in under a mile. It’s a challenge (think thousands of steps straight up), but the mountain views at the top are worth every step. Even if you don’t hike it yourself, it’s fun to cheer on the brave souls who do!
Garden of the Gods
Just minutes from Manitou Springs, this stunning park is filled with giant red rock formations that seem to rise straight out of the earth. It’s free to visit and perfect for a scenic stroll, rock climbing, Jeep/biking tours, a photo op, or just soaking in Colorado’s natural beauty.
Manitou Cliff Dwellings
Step back in time and wander through Ancestral Puebloan cliff homes that you can actually walk inside. The site also has a small museum with fascinating history and artifacts that’s a unique experience for all ages.
Manitou Springs Penny Arcade
A local treasure in downtown, the Penny Arcade is packed with vintage pinball machines, skee-ball lanes, and old school arcade games. It’s a nostalgic stop for both kids and adults!
