Jacqueline and Benjamin met when their friends decided to include them in a "couple’s brunch" on Sunday, March 19th, 2017 at a local restaurant. Even though they were both single, their friends thought they would invite them to tag along, and who knows, maybe they would get along. The pair hit it off from the start, not sure if it was too many mimosas that afternoon, or the connection between them, but both Jacqueline and Ben knew they had to see one another again. Their first date was at local Italian/Sushi restaurant Noodles. Even though Jacqueline thought was a weird choice (Ben's co-workers also ridiculed his selection), the pair had a great time getting to know one another and celebrating Jacqueline's "birthday" with the surrounding tables. They continued to see one another and meet for dinners and happy hours, keeping it casual, but soon, they both really started to develop feeling for one another. Then, it was finally time to take a huge step…introducing Jacqueline's dog Leni to Ben. When Leni ran right up to Ben to give him a kiss, maybe a little too excited, Jacqueline knew he had passed the test, and started to realize that there was something very special growing between them. They started spending more time at each other’s condo's cooking, drinking wine and getting to know one another and they haven't looked back since.

Ben was planning on proposing on Christmas in front of both our families (who were meeting for the first time) on a trip to Orlando. Jacqueline caught wind of Ben's public, Christmas proposal plan, and quickly shamelessly shut it down. Holidays...people.. .no, no, no! Heartbroken, Ben listened to her plea for it to be an intimate proposal with just the 2 of them and their dog Leni. The couple goes for walks frequently at the Gordon River Greenway, a beautiful greenway and boardwalk surrounded by greenery which is normally pretty busy, especially on the best part of the path- the bridge! On February 16, 2019 Jacqueline thought they were going for just a normal walk. Leni was being pretty bad, so the couple was already filled with nerves for the first half of the walk. As they got to that gorgeous bridge, which again is normally packed, Ben was starting to reach for the treats he saved for Len. Ben was SO happy no one was there (especially since my plea was for his proposal to be just us). Jacqueline turned around and he was on one knee, with Len sitting, smiling next to him. It was beyond perfect! There was even someone under the bridge fishing who took some pictures!
