- Dinner on the 10th while we are out in the town. We will not be doing a fancy sit down dinner this night - instead we will be exploring the town and just be picking up something cheap and easy! - Transportation to and from places. Airport to Villa (2x) , Villa to Marina (2x) , Marina back to Villa (2x). We will try to use the Villa transportation most of the time if we can. We will update this as we wait for confirmation on this. - If you want snacks, drinks, or souvenirs while out in the town. - January 12th, Las Caletas Beach Adventure Park (tickets right now are on sale for $111)
We will be letting the chef at the villa and chef on the yacht know about certain allergies or dietary restrictions. These are the one's I'm aware of: - Gluten Free - No red meat - Shellfish - Oysters and mussels - Avocado If there is one I'm missing, please let us know ASAP.
If you get motion sickness from being in a car or a boat (or aren't sure if you do) please bring motion sickness patches or nausea medicine. You can buy a big pack on Amazon. V used motion patches on our cruise and it helped her a lot. I don't think the Yacht will be bumpy, but I'd rather be safe. The car drives will be longish (40 min to and from) certain places so if you get carsick like me, I'd get some!
Saturday: Outfit to go out on the town around 6pmish, have dinner and maybe go to some shops. Nothing crazy just cute! Swimsuits for back at the villa. Sunday: Wedding outfits. Look up Yacht Wedding for inspiration. For Women: Flowy midi or maxi dresses, soft florals, pastels, or tropical colors Light layers for the ocean breeze (shawl or wrap optional) Avoid: stilettos, heavy fabrics, and anything too short or that may fly up in the wind. For Men: Linen or lightweight dress shirts, short-sleeve button-ups or guayabera shirts Chinos or linen trousers, dressy loafers. Optional: lightweight blazer (not required) Avoid: heavy suits, jeans, ties (unless they want to!), and flip-flops. Color Guidance: Wear any color you’d like except all white or champagne. Soft beach tones, blues, greens, sunset colors, and neutrals look great on a yacht. ~ We will be jumping in the pool at the end of the night (you don't have too but we would love y'all too). We have our photographer who will be at the Villa with us to take pictures of this! Just wanted to make sure that was known that your outfits will get wet. ~ Monday: Cute beach outfit (if you want) & swimsuit for the Beach Adventure Park Day! Tuesday: No specific outfit, just comfy for your travels back home.
We recommend that you check directly with your mobile carrier before traveling, every plan is different, and not all work the same when you cross the border. What to check: Does your plan include international roaming (or Mexico-Canada coverage)? Some plans automatically allow calls, texts, and data in Mexico. If your plan doesn’t include roaming: you may need to enable a roaming add-on, pay extra, or turn off mobile data to avoid unexpected charges. Please double check your plan before traveling, and if needed adjust or upgrade it so your phone works when we’re in Mexico. If in doubt: you can also rely on Wi-Fi for calls and messages while you’re here.
- Passport - Pesos for taxis, tips, markets & small purchases - Phone plan checked for Mexico roaming - Sunscreen - Medications (if needed) in original packaging - Reusable water bottle - Credit/debit card that works internationally - Charger - Swimsuits + sunglasses - Screenshots of hotel, villa & itinerary details
Many U.S. banks allow customers to exchange dollars for pesos ahead of time, you usually place an order via online banking or in person, then pick up the cash at a branch or have it shipped to you. Because not all branches keep pesos in stock, we recommend ordering at least a few days before travel and checking for any fees or minimum order amounts. Why are pesos good to have? While most tourist areas in Puerto Vallarta accept cards or U.S. dollars, having Mexican pesos makes things easier, cheaper, and more convenient. Better prices: You’ll usually get a better deal paying in pesos instead of USD. Some vendors use their own exchange rate, which can be higher. Small purchases: Taxis, street vendors, market stalls, and small cafés often prefer pesos, and some only take cash. Avoid fees: Paying in USD can lead to higher prices, and using your card everywhere may come with international fees depending on your bank. You don’t need a lot, but having some pesos on hand makes everything simpler.
Check in: 4:00pm, although hopefully I can get us in a little earlier since we land at 2pm! Check out: 11:00am
Not at all, we don’t expect or require anyone to prepare a speech. But during dinner, we’ll have a small moment set aside for anyone who feels inspired to share a few words. It’s completely optional, and truly just a space for love, memories, and whatever comes from the heart. 💛
