Lindsey and Michael both grew up in Boca Raton, FL. Michael went to Spanish River High while Lindsey went to Boca High. Even though the two had friends at both schools, and even knew a lot of the same people, neither knew the other. After graduation in 2016, Lindsey and Michael both attended the University of Florida, and were, by chance, assigned to the same dorm hall, Infinity Hall. The two ended up being neighbors. They became friends during the Summer session via their roommates. They studied together, went to parties together, talked, and really got to know one another. Lindsey wanted to date, but Michael did not... (sigh!) They continued as friends. On their break from college in the Fall, Michael came to his senses and asked Lindsey to go out with him. Throughout college they dated and began growing up together. During their sophomore Summer session, both Lindsey and Michael studied abroad in Spain. Michael in Seville and Lindsey in Barcelona. They visited each other in Spain and also did some backpacking afterwards. Lindsey graduated in May of 2020 and was gifted a goldendoodle, Brodie, from her parents. Lindsey and Michael quickly fell in love with being fur parents. Michael graduated with his mechanical engineering degree in December of 2020. In January of 2021, they began their long distance relationship while Lindsey earned her Physician Assistant degree in Charleston, SC and Michael began working as a mechanical engineer in Jupiter, FL. The couple quickly fell in love with Charleston and hold so many great memories from this 2 year period, even though it was a harder period of their relationship. Towards the end of this long distance journey, Michael decided to add another puppy to the family, a bernedoodle named Mia. Lindsey graduated PA school in December of 2022 and moved back to Florida to study for her board exams and start applying to jobs. Michael continued to work as an engineer and look for jobs out of state. In May of 2023, they moved to North Carolina (with Brodie and Mia of course). After living together for a few months, Michael knew it was time to pop the question! After rigorous planning he decided to ask her to marry him on their trip to Washington D.C. on Labor Day weekend of 2023. If you ask Lindsey, she will tell you how surprised she was as she had planned the entire weekend. The two have traveled the world, moved states, studied abroad, started and finished dating long-distance, raised two puppies, and have grown up together. They are truly each other's missing piece. They have memories that will last a lifetime and a future full of endless opportunities and adventure. So, as fate would have it, it's safe to say the pair is meant-to-be.
