A Little About Kauai

Considered the “Garden Isle”, Kauai is Hawaii’s fourth largest and northernmost island. Lush green valleys, sharp mountains, jagged cliffs, waterfalls, tropical rainforests and turquoise water aged by time and the elements are some characteristics of the beauty of the island. The North Shore of Kauai, where most of our wedding activities will be centered, is famous for its laid back, relaxed vibe and spectacular scenery.

Travel Note

Getting to Kauai

Unless you are an incredible swimmer, we suggest flying. There are a number of commercial airlines that fly to Honolulu from Australia, the US and many other countries where you will connect to fly to Lihue Airport Kauai. We love http://www.skyscanner.com/ as a great tool to compare flights from different airlines. The North Shore is a 45 minute - 1 hour drive from the Lihue airport. We recommend renting a car to get around in during your stay.

Rental Car

Rental Cars

Staying on Kauai, we highly recommend you rent a car. There is a public bus system but it will take too much of your precious vacation time waiting to catch it.

House Or Rental

Airbnb

We personally found where we are staying on the Airbnb website :)

House Or Rental

Vrbo

Vrbo is another excellent choice to find a house or apartment rental on Kauai!
