Logan and Alyssa had both been attending their church's young adult group on Sunday mornings. There was a sub group that played pickleball during the week and without knowing each other they joined at the same time. They met on the court on October 9th, 2024. As the two newest players, they were placed on the court to figure it out together. After not wanting to end the conversation Logan asked Alyssa to grab lunch with him the next day. This turned into their first date which led to forever.

Logan and Alyssa had their first date at Beef O Brady's. They can still remember the booth they sat in as Logan convinced Alyssa to try a hotter flavor of wings. She was skeptical at first, but now orders that flavor every time. This restaurant still means a lot to the happy couple as Logan later invited Alyssa's dad to that very booth to ask for her hand in marriage. The rehearsal dinner will feature catering from this iconic location!

During their one year anniversary, Alyssa was living in Minneapolis while Logan was in Birmingham. They were excited to be ending their time being long-distance soon. A few weeks later they planned a roadtrip through 12 states to celebrate their 12 months together. This was the official end to long-distance and certainly proved that their love was strong.

Logan and Alyssa decided early that marriage was their goal while dating. After the first year, Logan promised that an engagement ring would be coming within a specified few months. Once a timeline was established the couple started looking into wedding venues and potential dates. They landed on Mallard Oaks Farms back in late January. Logan told Alyssa they needed to visit their venue on March 7th to discuss details with the on-site host. She was very surprised to see the barn doors open to a beautiful proposal site set up by their friends.
