Flight
We recommend flying into Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) — it’s the closest major international airport to Lake Como and offers many nonstop flights from the U.S. and other major cities. 💡Tip: most international flights arrive at Terminal 1. If you land in Terminal 2, don’t worry — there’s a free shuttle that runs between terminals every 7 minutes
Travel Note
Traveling to the Lake is part of the adventure - and there are several different ways to get there depending on your preferences and travel plans. We recommend taking the train from the airport to the city of Como - it’s easy, scenic, & affordable. Just follow signs for “Treni/Trains” after baggage claim to reach the Malpensa Express station (below Terminal 1). We’ve outlined the 2 main train routes for you below to make things simple. If you’d prefer to travel by road, we’ve also included information on private transfers, rental cars, and taxis.
