Maybe if we all ask very nicely Cory might recount his version of how we met, but for now you're stuck with me! I first saw Cory my freshman year in Psychology class, he was wearing a OC baseball hoodie and these bright yellow Spongebob pajama pants that he had cut off to be long shorts... needless to say this was not love at first sight for yours truly. Fast forward to the summer before my junior year, we were invited to the same wedding and I happened to see this very tan, very attractive guy in a purple dress shirt (this look caught my eye in a different / much better way than the pj pants). Cory eventually told me a few weeks later that he wanted to come talk to me, but, for whatever reason never did that night. I like to think it's because I'm so intimidatingly beautiful... lol jk... moving on. That evening after the wedding I took matters into my own hands, and, like many a modern day romance begins I went and creeped on his Instagram. I made my way to some of his oldest pictures and decided it would be a good idea to like one from months maybe even years ago. I instantly regretted that decision, thinking Spongebob Cory Wayne was going to think I was very strange and very creepy. He did not, praises for that. He later messaged me, pointed out that I was stalking him, sent a few pictures of sweet baby Griffey and we didn't look back. There were hills and valleys as our relationship unfolded, even a breakup, but the love was always there. I fully believe God had set us on a path to find each other, lose each other, grow, find each other again as better individuals for the other, then grow together. I still don't know why I was picked to love this hilarious, humble, very attractive, and selfless man, but I was, and what an honor it is.
