Matron of Honor
A little sister normally thanks her big brother for squishing a spider or letting her watch a movie with him. I have to thank him for bringing Heather into the family. From the first time she came over before they got engaged to last Thursday when I went over to hang out with her and her clan of little humans, Heather is a blessing. I couldn't imagine anyone else but family standing with me on my big day! You'll see her four little ones in the wedding party as well as my flower girls and ring bearers!!
Best Man
We spent many summers together at Camp and built a strong friendship through those times. In 2019 we had a harrowing shared experience making welfare checks in the middle of a 100-year storm, and that solidified that we have each others backs. He sure has mine on the big day!
Maid of Honor
She's been my best friend since my first day on Earth and who better to have stand up with you declaring your love for your favorite human than the one who stood up for you against bullies? From our crazy stories we tell about our jobs to the serious moments with deep emotions, my sister has been there from day one and she'll be there til my last day.
Groomsman
We were in the same Scout Troop as kids, and this past summer he returned to Camp after a long tour serving our country overseas. We kept each other sane through the stressful times as we were the only 'old men' on our half of the staff last year.
Bridesmaid
Having been on Sam's side since day one of his journey on Earth, being a part of each other's big life moments is the classic M.O. for a sibling. From graduating all levels of education (including the classic 'I've got you!' sibling photo), moving from place to place, being the "hey, wanna go grab frozen custard from Culver's?" adventure buddy, being able to make awkward eye contact during a wedding ceremony is another one of those big life moments that we knew Danielle just had to be a part of. Selfishly speaking, it makes picking the bridal party a little bit easier when there are three sisters in the family. But if I'm being completely honest, it's three built-in friends. One who especially understands whenever I may need to talk about why Sam is being so weird.
Groomsman
Ryan is a brother, through and through. We are in the same Fraternity and he made the crossover to Camp staff this past summer leading backpacking treks. We're there if either of us need that random phone call to get our minds straight and talk through life.
