Brian and I met on November 11, 2017 while I was waiting tables at a local restaurant in Concord, NC! He came in with his buddy Patty and saw me and asked the host to sit at my table, to this day he still says he was flirting with me the whole time but I guess it was flying right over my head in the moment. He left his number, and the rest was history. I will never live it down that our first date was at Walmart where he bought me a HUGE green dinosaur and I broke a candle in the parking lot.

As some of you know we now live in Oahu, HI for Brian's first duty station! While visiting at the beginning of July he took me to a really nice sushi restaurant for dinner (my favorite food, his least) and then took me to this really nice beach here on North Shore called Waimea Bay where he popped the question! His friends were there taking pictures, and he even hired a guy with a drone to videotape it! It was extremely romantic with a sailboat in the background at sunset, and to top it all off we jumped off these huge rocks after, and then of course splurged on some Mcdonald's!
