The Proposal + Gallery
After celebrating four years together, Grace and Alex set out to explore Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. They had dreamed of this region for years, filling their days with hiking, wildlife sightings, sweeping views, horseback riding, and time together.
Grace expected the ride to be a calm loop around the ranch. Months earlier, Alex had quietly planned something more, coordinating with a ranch hand to choose a proposal spot: a secluded hilltop in Grand Teton National Park. That choice made the ride far more demanding.
To capture the moment, Alex booked a private tour and hired a local photographer couple to pose as guests. The novice group rode off-trail, past hazards and steep switchbacks, until they reached the hilltop. Alex dismounted first, helped Grace down, then guided her to the perfect view. Holding her hands, he spoke from the heart, knelt, and asked her to marry him.
They rode back in happy disbelief and celebrated in Jackson, calling loved ones to share the news....
