In June of 2014, Ty was living in Tempe, Arizona, next door to Danyelle. One evening, after a night out in Old Town Scottsdale, Danyelle spotted Ty on the bus ride home. He didn’t look well, and when she asked if he was okay, Ty admitted he was feeling sick—courtesy of one too many cocktails. Without hesitation, Danyelle jumped into action, guiding him to the back of the bus where there was a bathroom. Unfortunately, Ty didn’t quite make it and ended up projectile vomiting everywhere (including all over Danyelle). The next morning, there was a knock on Danyelle’s door. It was Ty, stopping by to apologize for the previous night’s mishap. His thoughtful gesture left a lasting impression, and from that moment on, the two became inseparable. Their whirlwind summer romance came to an end when Ty had to move to San Francisco for a new career. They decided they wanted to continue their relationship, so Danyelle also made her way to California, taking jobs in Southern California and Sacramento. For three years, they managed to do long distance until Danyelle finally made the leap and joined Ty in San Francisco in 2017. After five years in SF, they made the move to Dallas, to be closer to friends and create new memories. Together, they’ve explored 31 countries (& counting) and couldn’t be more grateful for the life they’ve built side by side over the last eleven years.
