Lido Beach is a beautiful, easily accessible spot just across the bridge from The Westin. The hotel shuttle can take you there for some sunshine!
Lido Key Mangrove Kayak Tours
Every time we visit Lido, we love doing the kayak tour. It’s so much fun, and you can spot all kinds of wildlife (manatees, dolphins, stingrays). You can choose a guided tour or go unguided; we’ve always gone unguided and had no trouble. The kayak company provides a map when you arrive. There are plenty of companies to choose from, and honestly, they’re all great so you really can’t go wrong!
Boca
Boca is a great spot for weeknd brunch in the heart of downtown Sarasota (15 minute walk from the Westin). They offer great cocktails and American food.
