The Mother of the Groom stood in the middle of the hallway on move-in day, looking down the hall of the co-ed dorms. "You're not allowed past this line!" Jen proclaimed to a wreckless 18-year-old. Michael laughed, and the second his mother was out of Athens, Ohio, he crossed that line. It's a good thing, too, because past that line was Scott Quad Room 225--home of the Bride for the next 9 months. As dorm-mates blossomed into deep friendship, the Groom fell in love, as the Bride secretly wondered about a life with the Groom. Before love could call, they parted for the summer. One north to Lexington, the other west to Hilliard. Amber missed her friend though, and made the trek north to visit the Groom. Little did they know that the next day, a single text message from Amber to Michael would unite them forever. Spending the first year of their relationship in different cities and schools, their love grew to embrace both challenges and distance. Once the two of them were Buckeyes in the fall of 2017, they knew forever was within reach. Michael and Amber dated for 15 months before getting engaged on October 20, 2017 in the very dorm they first met. They knew it would be years before they got married, and that's what brings you here today. Michael & Amber live in Hilliard with their cat, Milo "Big Dog" Dover Some of their favorite times together include: -Their trips to Nashville and Myrtle Beach -College parties at 4th Street and time with friends -Various concerts, including front row for Luke Combs and Kip Moore -Seeing Garth Brooks sing with Trisha Yearwood at the Grande Ole Opry -Ohio State football games, highlighted by 2017 v Penn State, 2017 B1G Title Game, 2018 v TTUN -Friday night pizza, especially Iacono's, Flyer's, and Jets -Holding CCW permits and shooting their handguns at the range -Binge watching TV series -Driving the Hilliard countryside in their Camrys -Sundays at Cypress Church -And of course, ice cream trips to Handels
