Interviewing Darmon: The First Time You Laid Eyes on Lexi "There was two times: The first was the girl in the leather jacket at the end of the row who I decide to not give the time of day reappeared to me later that day. I caught a glance, but looked away because I was convinced that she couldn’t be mine anyway. We sat down for lunch... far away and God gave me some words to say. *Gosh, what a great experience that was, God I love you so much.* There was something about her that I knew was special. And I wasn’t willing to let it go, even though I didn’t know what that meant at the time. So I got her number in a clever way and gave her a call cause I didn’t know why, I just wanted to call her, but I didn’t know why, I just don’t know I just did. And she answered and she sounded surprised. "I told her I just wanted to say hi, and wanted to give you a call to see how you were doing.” I remember where I was standing. I was at the Fishermans Warf on San Clemente pier having lunch with my parents on a beautiful southern California day. I remember sitting down and telling my parents. 'Yeah so that was a girl, we’ll see what happens.' I don’t even know what I said but I said something like that. Interviewing Darmon: First Time You Laid eyes on Darmon I went to lunch with a whole table of people that I didn't know, in a city that I didn't know, but doing things I didn't know was my normal. I was at a point in my life where I told God that I would try again, I would try friendships, and opportunities again. I was believing for a win. I remember when we connected, something was different, this guy understood me, everything I was saying he was registering and getting it. I remember seeing this sparkle in his eye, he looked at me as if I was a wonder, and I knew I was done for, I knew if I let him, I wouldn’t be able to go back.
