The Wedding Bells are Ringing!

Leslie and DeMarkis first became acquainted with one another at North Hialeah Baptist Church. It's a beautiful, yet funny story as DeMarkis had moved to Georgia in July of 2023, meanwhile in September of that same year, Leslie began attending NHBC for the first time. As she began to know all of the beautiful and wonderful people whom were apart of the local body of Christ, Leslie actually had not a single clue that DeMarkis didn't even reside in Florida anymore! Why? Cause he was visiting so often!!! Fast forward a few months and the two began to know one another more than just a quick "Hi, how are you?" in passing. Apparently the two had lots in common, yet the differences in-between made them grow fonder of one another still. Eventually, they got into a (long-distance) relationship. Then, the two got engaged. However, as Leslie and DeMarkis prepare for marriage, in every way do they seek to give Him the praise and glory. Not solely for the love that He allowed to blossom between them. Yet, for His grace and mercy over their lives as a whole. Both DeMarkis and Leslie we first sinners apart from God. But in the course of their individual lives, they came to know Him through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died so selflessly for us all, even when we were undeserving sinners. As they came to know and love Christ on their own walks, their lives eventually intertwined by God's grace. The gift of marriage can not compare to the gift of salvation nor the blessing to know Christ Jesus. So through it all, Leslie and DeMarkis pray that their love will honor the Lord and remain founded in Him in every trial and every joy that is to come.

Each and every one of us are born sinners apart from God. The wages of sin are death, eternal separation from God. Yet, did you know that God loves you so so much, that He sent his Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to live a perfect, sinless life and pay for each and every one of our sins, past. present AND future? Jesus Christ gave Himself up to die on the cross, yet death could not hold Him! He rose 3 days later, proclaiming victory over sin and death. Nothing of ourselves could earn a place in heaven. No good deed or act of service. The only way to receive salvation is by the Grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ and Christ alone. For He, Himself said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." DeMarkis and Leslie also received the Good News and gave their lives to Christ, which has forever changed them and the way they live. No one is too far gone. No sin is worth holding onto out of fear that you can not be freed from it. Come to Jesus, confess, repent and turn from your sins. It is not easy, but our current sufferings and trials will never compare to the glory that is to come in the return of Christ, for He will return! He loves you, therefore come as you are, yet you will not be left the same <3
