How We Met

First comes School, then come Marriage

The Start Our story begins on a warm summer night, the kind where the air feels soft and full of possibility. We were at a friend’s get-together... definitely not a party, or so we insisted to our parents. It was the last day of Junior Year, and the world felt wide open. We were excited for summer, thrilled for Senior Year, and unaware that this ordinary evening would become the beginning of our story. Our Senior Year (2018–2019) Senior Year brought its own kind of magic. At Mayfield High School, the week before Homecoming is a whirlwind of Wildcat spirit: parades, bonfires, pep rallies. The “Sweet 16” Court traditions brought us closer than we expected. We chose each other as partners for the Homecoming Assembly dance, and when we walked out to “Umbrella” by Rihanna, it felt like the world briefly narrowed to just us. The song became an instant favorite... one that may return on our wedding day. Then came April 12, 2019. Angelo asked Hannah to Prom and, in the same breath, asked her to be his girlfriend. From that moment on, we were inseparable. Senior Year became a season of joy- graduation parties, after-school adventures, and more Mitchell’s ice cream dates than we can count. It was the perfect ending to one chapter and the sweetest beginning of another. College Years (2019–2023) College took us to two different campuses: Hannah to the University of Dayton and Angelo to Capital University, just an hour apart but without cars. We became experts at creativity: borrowing keys, catching rides, and making every reunion count. Weekends together became the highlight of our college lives. Between new friends, traditions, late-night study sessions, and the occasional road trip, our relationship continued to grow. In Spring 2023, we both graduated and celebrated with our first real trip together: Key West. Snorkeling in turquoise water, parasailing above the ocean, sunset cruises, and slices of Key Lime Pie made it everything we hoped our first adventure together would be. Post-Grad Life (2023–2025) After college, life brought us home. Hannah began her career as a high school art teacher, and Angelo started his journey as an accountant. Best of all, we suddenly found ourselves living only two minutes apart. Daily life became simple and sweet: family movie nights, shared dinners, quiet routines, and the comfort of finally being in the same place again. In those everyday moments, we realized we were ready for forever. The Proposal In 2025, Hannah’s family planned a long-dreamed-of trip to Ireland. The rule was “no significant others,” but after six years, Angelo had become family, so an exception was made. He packed the engagement ring carefully in his personal item, whispering a hopeful prayer as it went through airport security. The week was full of adventure: exploring Dublin, breathing the salty air of Galway, and taking in Ireland’s breathtaking landscapes. Then came Glenbeigh. On July 1st, 2025, surrounded by rolling hills and the wild beauty of the countryside, Angelo asked Hannah to marry him. She said YES through happy, joyful tears. That night, we celebrated with a warm, laughter-filled dinner surrounded by family; one of the most unforgettable nights of our lives. Present Day Now, after years of growing up together and building a life side by side, we’re ready to tie the knot. Our wedding date is set for July 31st, 2026, and we cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people who mean the most to us.
