In Peddler’s Village: • Chaddsford Winery: A Village staple. Enjoy a wine flight or their famous seasonal slushies on the outdoor patio. • Hewn Spirits: For the whiskey and rum lovers. They offer tastings of spirits distilled right here in Bucks County. • Free Will Brewing Co.: A local favorite for craft beer, featuring a wide rotation of IPAs, sours, and stouts. • Nina’s Waffles & Ice Cream: Famous for their Liege-style waffles and small-batch ice cream. • Mama Hawk’s Kitchen: Perfect for a casual morning. Grab a "Bunny" (their signature cinnamon rolls) and a fresh coffee. In Doylestown: • Native Cafe: A cozy, local favorite for serious coffee drinkers and light breakfast bites. • The Doylestown Brewing Co.: Located in the heart of town, this is a great spot for a local pint and a relaxed "hometown" vibe. • The Hops/Scotch: If you're looking for a sophisticated cocktail or a massive whiskey list, this refined bar is the perfect place for a pre-dinner drink.
You may want to make a reservation in advance - but here are a few great spots! • The Cock 'n Bull: This is the historic cornerstone of the Village, serving guests since 1962. It’s famous for its Colonial-style charm and signature dishes like Beef Wellington and Chicken Pot Pie. It feels like stepping back in time with its heavy timber beams and traditional decor. • Earl’s New American: For a more polished, contemporary vibe. They specialize in high-end American fare like steak and seafood with a great wine list. • Buttonwood Grill: The go-to spot for the "Best Burger in Bucks County." It has a great stone-fired pizza menu and a lively outdoor patio that is perfect in June. • Heirloom: Our favorite brunch spot in the heart of Doylestown! Perfect for some day-after-wedding breakfast. It’s a farm-to-table gem known for its creative seasonal dishes. Note: It’s very popular, so we recommend guests check for a reservation in advance.
• Giggleberry Fair: An indoor family fun center featuring Giggleberry Mountain (a massive 3-story maze and ball pit) and a beautifully restored 1922 Grand Carousel. • The Cloak and Wand: This is the "Harry Potter store" you're looking for! It’s a local fantasy wizarding and witchcraft shop. Kids (and adults) love the Potion Bar, where you can order "magical" custom-brewed sodas like "Phoenix Tears." • The Bucks County Children’s Museum: Located just 10 minutes away in New Hope, it features interactive exhibits like a "shining star" theater and a simulated dig site. • JaZams: A fantastic, old-school toy store in the Village that encourages play and discovery.
• Shopping: With over 60 independent boutiques, guests can find everything from local art to handmade jewelry and specialty spices. • Sights in Sand (June 12-14): During our wedding weekend, the Village will be hosting its annual sand sculpture display. Guests can walk the brick pathways to see giant, intricate sculptures made from tons of sand. • New Hope & Ivyland Railroad: Hop on a vintage 1920s passenger coach at the Lahaska station (right near the Village) for a scenic 45-minute train ride through the woods.
• The "Two-Town" Stroll: Park in New Hope and walk across the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge. It offers the best view of the Delaware River and lets you stand in two states at once! • Main Street Shopping: New Hope is known for its eclectic, funky shops and vibrant arts scene, while Lambertville (just across the bridge) is famous for being the Antiques Capital of New Jersey. • The Delaware Canal Towpath: Perfect for guests who want a morning walk or jog along the scenic canal. • Doylestown's Cultural District: A 15-minute drive from the Village, Doylestown is home to the stunning Mercer Museum (a concrete castle!) and the Michener Art Museum. The downtown area is packed with sophisticated boutiques and cozy cafes. • Fonthill Castle: For the history buffs, this Doylestown landmark is the former home of Henry Mercer and looks like something out of a gothic fairytale—great for a quick tour.
