Downtown Concord
Take a stroll through Downtown Concord on Union Street. Here you'll find several neat shops and restaurants as well as the public library that sparked Leah's love for reading as a kid, the restaurant catering the wedding (Union Street Bistro), a large mural of the Avett Brothers (one of Leah's favorite bands who originated right outside of Concord!), and the Cabarrus Creamery where Leah and her family would get ice cream, just to name a few!
Cabarrus Brewing Company
This brewery didn't open up until Leah was in college, but Leah & Alex have visited several times in the past few years to enjoy a few beers with friends and family. They have great food as well as indoor and outdoor seating.
Concord Mills Mall
If you're looking to do some shopping, Concord Mills mall and surrounding area has tons of stores; plus there's a pretty neat aquarium inside the mall that Leah drug Alex to not too long after they started dating. Fun fact: In 2010-2012 you would have found a young, high-school aged Leah folding clothes or working the cash register at Aeropostale inside this very mall!
