Both had attended Oakland University—Gabriella in a sorority, Eric in a partnering fraternity—and were active members of Kensington Church, yet their paths never crossed until fate intervened. After exchanging a few messages online, they realized they shared much in common, from their time at Oakland to their faith. On their first date, they laughed about how close they’d been all those years without ever meeting. From that moment on, they knew something special was happening. Their relationship deepened through shared church services and groups, with Kensington becoming their spiritual home. Five years later, Eric proposed on the ocean.
