Cusco has mild weather with daytime temperatures of 18-20°C (64-68°F) and cooler nights around 2-5°C (36-41°F), featuring sunny days making it ideal for outdoor activities but requiring layers for chilly evenings.
We're thrilled to have you celebrate with us! To maintain an intimate setting, please note that the invitation is clearly stated on the envelope.
Although we love being Tia Loca and Funcle, we are not able to accommodate them at our wedding reception. We hope you understand! If any issues are to arise please text Gaby.
The wedding ceremony will take place at Templo de San Pedro Apóstol - about 7 minutes - from the Hotel La Casona de Yucay, where the reception will be held. Transportation to and from the ceremony will be provided at the Hotel La Casona de Yucay. We urge our guests to stay at the hotel where the reception will be held as we will not be providing transportation after the reception ends.
Both! The ceremony will be held inside and the reception will be held outside. Ladies - we recommend you bring a shawl/pashmina to keep with you just in case.
Ladies: Please wear a floor-length gown or flowy, summer-inspired dresses. We encourage floral patterns and recommend bright colors or pastels. Kindly refrain from wearing white unless you want Gaby to never forgive you. (Just kidding!) (Not really) Gentlemen: A formal suit and tie are requested. Thank you!
To avoid altitude sickness, we recommend acclimatizing gradually, staying hydrated, eating light meals, and avoiding strenuous activities during the first few days of arrival. We recommend getting to Cusco on Thursday night, driving straight to Valle Sagrado and having a very relaxed Friday. If you’re sensitive to altitude, consider consulting your doctor about medication. Be mindful of symptoms and rest as needed!

We highly recommend to not drink the tap water in Cusco or anywhere in Peru. When eating at restaurants or even at the hotel, please always ask for bottled water and try to avoid ice in drinks. At the Welcome Event and at the Wedding, all the water and ice will be filtered. The hotel will provide bottled water as well.
Peru Time (PET) is the official time in Peru. It is always 5 hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC−05:00). Peru has only one time zone and does not observe daylight saving time.
The official currency of Peru is the Sol. Some places let you pay in dollars at the Sol rate, however you can also exchange money at the airport or back at home. You can also pay items using any major credit card. When looking at prices on menus or at the market, you will see S/(amount). We recommend bringing some soles if you would like to buy some small items at the market.
We will be providing you with the numbers of trusted shuttles and taxis. More information to come.
We are excited to share that our wedding reception will feature a buffet-style dinner, offering a variety of delicious dishes for everyone to enjoy. Please reach out to Gaby or Nico for any dietary restrictions/allergies through cell phone or email thedemujicas@gmail.com.
More information to come.
Yes! We highly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance for your trip to Cusco. Due to the city's high altitude (over 11,000 feet / 3,400 meters), some travelers may experience symptoms of altitude sickness! Travel insurance can offer peace of mind in case of unexpected health issues! Cusco and the Sacred Valley are home to incredible tours and activities—such as hiking, visiting Machu Picchu, or exploring the nearby ruins! These excursions often require physical activity, and travel insurance can help cover any potential accidents that might arise during your stay. We want everyone to have a safe, stress-free experience, so please consider investing in travel insurance to ensure you're covered in case of any unforeseen circumstances!
