Most couples meet in coffee shops or classrooms. Us? We met at the Beer Olympics. Neither of us went to Georgia Southern, but by pure coincidence, we were both visiting friends - who, as fate would have it, lived in the same house. We ended up on the same Beer Olympics team. I was fully committed to our group’s theme... I went all out: cut-off jorts, cowboy boots, a hacked-up flannel, and a Sharpie-drawn mustache and beard. I looked absolutely ridiculous and Donovan didn’t run away. That was the first miracle!! lol Later that night, seven of us crammed into a Mustang to hit the local bars. With seven people in one car, we were sitting on laps and even in the trunk. I ended up on Donovan’s lap and that’s how our first conversation began. Back home, we quickly became best friends. I was always at his place gaming, hanging out, or spending time at the lake together. Eventually, my 2K and Fortnite skills sealed the deal. Our first official date was trivia night and margaritas at a local Mexican spot. These days, our favorite dates are the chill ones - trying new restaurants, playing games together, catching live music or sports, and hanging out with our dogs Strider and Bennett. Whether it’s walks, swimming at the lake, or tagging them along to outdoor events, we love making memories with our little crew!! We’ve also made so many fun memories traveling together from exploring big cities, beach getaways, mountain weekends, and lots of lake trips! We’re always up for an adventure whether it’s a spontaneous weekend trip or a family vacation. Our story is anything but typical and we wouldn’t change a thing. We’re so excited to continue this adventure together and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
