Question

What are the COVID restrictions at the reception venue?

Answer

Effective March 15, 2021, New York State limits the number of persons attending a wedding reception to 50% of the venue's capacity or up to 150 people, whichever is less. Accordingly, we have made the difficult decision to cut our reception guest list. A COVID-19 test is also now MANDATORY in order to attend any wedding reception in New York State.

Question

What type of COVID test do I need and when should I get it?

Answer

A PCR test within 3 days of the wedding or a Rapid Test within 6 hours of the wedding, with negative results, MUST be presented at the reception venue. The venue will be turning away guests. Additionally, those who have been vaccinated MUST present their original vaccination card, a copy or photograph will not suffice. The second/last dose of the vaccine must have been administered 14 days before the wedding.

Question

What are the COVID-19 restrictions on weddings in New York State?

Answer

New York State limits the attendance at houses of worship to half capacity. St. Agnes Cathedral can hold up to 400 persons. In accordance with the guidelines set in place by the State, every other pew will be left empty. Those who have traveled together, or are within the same household, may be seated together. Those who have not traveled together or are not in the same household, must be seated 6 feet apart. Masks must be worn by all guests. Wedding reception venues are limited to 50% capacity.

Question

What about COVID-19 concerns?

Answer

The health and safety of all our guests and loved ones is our main priority. We remain very conscious of the fact that COVID-19 is still a very serious concern and may still be a threat next year. Stephan and I have decided to go forward with our wedding, as planned and as scheduled, on March 21, 2021. Our guest list may be vastly diminished and at the mercy of the current pandemic, but we hope to be able to celebrate with you all, safely. We continue to monitor the situation and will keep you all updated accordingly.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Black Tie.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 2:30 p.m. as the ceremony will start promptly.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have reserved a block of suites for our guests at the Inn at Fox Hollow.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking at St. Agnes Cathedral and private valet at The Somerley at Fox Hollow.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Our reception will be an adults only reception. While we love your kids, we want our wedding to be your night off!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have noted all the invitations accordingly. If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. We want our wedding to be a celebration with our closest family and friends.

Question

What if my name cannot be located on the online RSVP form?

Answer

Please enter just your last name, if the combination of your first and last name does not work.
