We met in spring of 2021 while we were both in college at Iowa State. Little did we know, we had grown up in small towns only about 30 miles apart. Our paths had probably crossed a time or two without us even realizing it! We “officially” started dating on October 7th, 2021. After graduating from ISU, life took us to Ankeny. Jenna went to physical therapy school in Des Moines and Walker began his first job as a design engineer in Ankeny. Our time there was full of special memories and new challenges. We made lifelong friends, started officially “adulting”, and became part of a life-changing church called Limitless. Our pastor, Arjay, quickly became a friend and role model, and we are so excited that he will be officiating our wedding! As Jenna neared the end of PT school, we knew it was time to think about the future. As much as we loved Ankeny, we knew we wanted to be closer to our families. Jenna accepted a job in Cedar Falls, and Walker found a new a job in Waterloo. Soon after, we began the search for our first home. After striking out a few times, a house in Reinbeck suddenly popped up and we had the opportunity to put in an offer before it was even on the market. Jenna was a bit hesitant to move to Walker’s hometown - haha! After long talks with family and friends, and lots of prayers, we decided to go for it! On May 30th, 2025, we went to the bank and signed the closing papers for our new home. We got the keys and headed straight to the house to pick out paint colors and get started on transforming our house into a home. Little did Jenna know, Walker had other plans. He had gotten into the house early and arranged the most beautiful decorations - flowers, rose pedals, lighted mason jars, photos through the years, and a handwritten letter on the kitchen table. Through the happy tears, Jenna said yes! To top it off, all of our family and friends were waiting to celebrate with us afterwards. We are so excited to continue building our life together, surrounded by the people who have loved us every step of the way. We can’t wait to celebrate with you on June 13th!
