Because of the Catholic ceremony, there will be a 2.5-hour intermission before the reception. During this time, feel free to drop off your bags at the hotel (if you haven’t already), grab a cocktail nearby, or explore the area. Some of our favorite spots include The Pocket at the Alila Marea Beach Resort, Karl Strauss, Fresco 264, Pizza Port, and Legoland. You can also enjoy the Carlsbad beaches or explore Carlsbad Village. If you prefer to stay close, our reception venue, The Crossings, also has a separate restaurant and bar available.

Elevated Cocktail Attire. Think midi to long dresses or pantsuits in dressier fabrics for women, and dark-colored suits for men (ties not required).
