Sooo, We Got Married!

June 28th, 2020

James and Tiffany became husband and wife on June 28th, 2020. The ceremony was held at Lakes of Taylor Golf Course and was officiated by James’ sister, Katie. The intimate ceremony was joined with James and Tiffany’s families and some of their closest friends. The small gathering of 55 people was not what they had originally planned but it is definitely a memory they will never forget. James and Tiffany will always hold that day dear to their hearts, but they are counting down the days to celebrate with all of their family and friends.

How We Met

First comes school, then comes marriage.

James and I are both from Michigan, just about 1.5 hours from each other. We both moved to Chicago for grad school, and had no intention on staying in the area after. He wanted to move to Colorado, and I wanted to move back to Michigan to be with my family and friends. It's funny how life does not always go according to plan. Neither of us was expecting anything serious when we went on our first date. We both just started our second year of school (James was in PT school and I was in law school) and we were too focused on trying to pass exams rather than start a relationship. After a few months of going on dates, we decided to drive back to Michigan together and head to Michigan State University for the Michigan v. MSU football tailgate. It was this weekend that really changed how we viewed our friendship with one another. After a Michigan win (YAY!), we headed back to Chicago and talked about what was going to happen between us. Then on November 2, 2016 (the night that the Chicago Cubs won the World Series!), James and I started officially dating. And from there, the rest is history. We made it through our crazy and hectic second year schedule, his rotation in Miami, me graduating a semester early so that I could take the February bar exam, him graduating and then taking his boards, to finding out that we both passed our licensing exams, scoring our first jobs, and transitioning from students to professionals! Somehow in the middle of all of that, we moved in together, adopted our beautiful cat, and made countless memories. Fast forward to December 3, 2018. James took me out after a loooong day of work and planned an incredible date that ended up with him proposing to me at the spot he first told me he loved me (and it was the exact date he told he loved me two years ago). Our lives have been an absolute whirlwind since and we are so excited to begin this new adventure of marriage!! Thank you Bumble for this incredible match you brought to my life!

Couples Who Travel Together, Stay Together

"In life, it's not where you go, it's who you travel with" - C. Schulz

James and I love to travel, and have been so very fortunate to explore this world together. Early on in our relationship, we decided that we should take advantage of our minimal responsibilities and travel together. Below is a list of countries and states we have visited together: Countries: USA Canada Jamaica Grand Cayman Iceland London France Netherlands Hong Kong Macau Vietnam States: Illinois Michigan Indiana Ohio Georgia Tennessee Florida California Washington Colorado

For all the days along the way
