Us, Then & Now

At 15, you don’t think you’re meeting your forever. You’re just hoping someone likes you back. But from the beginning, there was something steady about us. Something that felt safe in a way neither of us had words for yet. We didn’t just fall in love, we grew up in it. We’ve seen every version of each other. The awkward teenager. The overly confident one. The anxious one. The one trying to hold it all together. We’ve celebrated the obvious milestones, dances, graduations, first apartments, but we’ve also held each other through the quiet, harder seasons. In those seasons instead of pulling apart, we leaned in. We learned how to fight for each other instead of against each other. How to sit in the mess. How to stay. We became each other’s constant not because it was easy, but because it was worth it. Loving each other has never meant life was perfect. It’s meant we never had to face it alone. Now, ten years later, the spark is still there, just different. It’s deeper. Softer. Built on late-night talks, hard conversations, forgiveness, growth, and a thousand inside jokes that no one else would understand. It’s built on choosing each other over and over again. We’ve built a home that feels warm, safe, and occasionally chaotic. We’ve built a life that 15-year-old us wouldn’t have fully understood but would probably be very proud of. This wedding isn’t the start of our love story. It’s the next chapter of something we’ve been writing since we were kids. A story shaped by growing up, by holding on, and by learning that the real magic isn’t in the fairytale moments. It’s in the staying. And we can’t wait to keep choosing each other for the rest of our lives.
