Nicole & Dwayne

Wedding Party

Nina Jackson

Maid of Honor

Nina and Nicole are sisters and the best of friends! There are no major events in Nicole's life that Nina has not been there for. Nina is the yin to her yang, the peanut butter to her jelly! There are too many amazing memories together for Nicole to just narrow down to one, or even two, but Nicole especially loves the memories of Nina being there for the birth of both of her children. Right by her side, each time. What Nicole loves most about Nina, is the fact that she accepts everyone for who they are. Nina always has a smile on her face and one amazing personality. On the night of the wedding, you can expect to see Nina a little bit of everywhere with everyone, chasing her nieces and nephews around, handing Nicole another drink, and dancing the night away.

Bri Vick

Bridesmaid

Bri and Nicole met a little over 9 years ago. Nicole never met a more upbeat, full of life, open and real person. Bri was the life of the party! Nicole’s favorite memory with Bri is their road trip to Florida together with their two little girls, going to the beach at night and being ridiculously terrified by what turned out to be a cat! What Nicole loves most about Bri is her humor, her love for people and for God, and the fact that she remains herself, no matter the circumstances. On the night of the wedding, you can expect to see Bri laughing with her husband about the silliest things, or enjoying the dance floor with her two little ones.

Deniele Ross

Bridesmaid

Nicole and Deniele met when they were in elementary school. There are not many days Nicole can remember during those childhood years, when she wasn't with Deniele. Nicole's favorite memories with Deniele are AAU basketball, countless sleepovers, and sharing the most awkward and quirky jokes ever. Nicole and Deniele have built a bond lasting over 20 years. What Nicole loves most about Deniele, is her ability to give without ever asking for anything in return, her old soul, and her positive energy. On the night of the wedding, you can expect Deniele to be the first one on the dance floor, especially if some old school R&B starts playing!

Karlisa Wright

Bridesmaid

Karlisa and Nicole became close friends in middle school and were the best of friends throughout high school, making their friendship almost twenty years long now. They participated in basketball, volleyball, and track together. Nicole's favorite memories with Karlisa are laughing for hours and hours, sometimes about nothing at all, or after many of their basketball games, eating their favorite burger, the Baconator. Karlisa moved away after high school, but they remained friends. What Nicole loves most about Karlisa is her carefree spirit. and her ability to stay positive no matter what. On the night of the wedding, you can expect to see Karlisa chatting with a little bit of everyone like the social butterfly she is!

Joshua Dantigance

Best Man

Dwayne and Josh are cousins and grew up together. Josh has always been like a little brother to Dwayne. Some of Dwayne's favorite memories with Josh are the days their grandmother Wilma, made her famous pancakes! Dwayne and Josh, to this day, speak of how amazing her pancakes were. On the night of the wedding you can expect to see Josh wrestling with some of the kids and a little bit of everywhere, sharing memories and catching up with the family.

Adrian Kidder

Groomsman

Dwayne and Adrian, a.k.a Kali, met junior year of high school. Adrian had just moved to Michigan from California, hence the nickname. After realizing they lived on the same street and their sisters had already become friends, they started hanging out more. From basketball, football, partying or just hanging out, Dwayne and Adrian ran around Lansing doing it all! On the night of the wedding, you can expect to see Adrian debating with someone about something, most likely about Eminem being the best artist to ever touch a microphone.

Andrick Walton

Groomsman

Dwayne and Andrick met around the age of 8 years old at the boys and girls club in Lansing, Michigan. Dwayne and Andrick have remained friends ever since. Even their parents formed a close friendship. Growing up, Dwayne and Andrick hung out a lot and on many occasions lived only two miles apart from each other. Some of Dwayne's favorite memories of Andrick are the nights they stayed up playing the video game, and although Andrick could never win, he continued to play anyways. On the night of the wedding, you can expect to see Andrick shattering records for most food ever eaten at a wedding!

Majjor Walker

Groomsman

Dwayne and Majjor met at Dwight Rich Middle School where they both played for the school's basketball team. Dwayne and Majjor became good friends through their passion for sports. Dwayne's favorite memory with Majjor is Majjor getting yelled at by Mama Jackie and that crazy voice she used doing it! On the night of the wedding, you can expect Majjor to crack jokes on someone, most likely Don Brown or JJ Droughns, mutual friends of Dwayne and Majjor.

Mario Jackson

Father of the Bride

Nicole and Dwayne want to give a special thank you to Mario for breaking the bank, literally, for their wedding day. However, Nicole and Dwayne ask the guests to please excuse the horrible jokes that only Mario will laugh at. For all family members that are not aware, from now on, every time you see Mario, you will have to hear the same jokes over and over again that you first heard the night of the wedding.

Erin Jackson

Mother of the Bride

Dwayne and Nicole thank Erin for all her love and support throughout the years. The couple would also like to thank her for all the sleepless nights, the midnight and early mornings spent with the children to allow the couple to work or rest, and for spending over thirty years listening to Mario’s awful jokes. Hang in there Erin! A saint is an understatement for this woman and she is beyond cherished by all who meet her.

Alicia Sledge

Mother of the Groom

Dwayne and Nicole want Alicia to know how hard it was for all the kids to come together and find a picture of her! The couple also would like to thank her for always supporting them no matter what. Although Dwayne and Nicole ask Alicia for a lot, like a lot, the couple has one more request, please move to Florida!!

Dwayne Darden Sr.

Father of the Groom

Good luck to our guests! Trying to tell Dwayne Sr. and Dwayne Jr. apart from one another will be a struggle the whole night. Although, the couple does not get to see Dwayne as often, his love and support has always been felt.

Brittany Darden

Honor Attendant

Brittany a.k.a cool aunty, a.k.a “won’t tell your mom, but I’m still whoopin your butt!”, has had the toughest job in the family! She has had to deal with Dwayne and Nicole nag her about what to do and what not to do with the kids. If that doesn’t deserve some kind of recognition, we’ll then what does! Brittany has been one of Dwayne and Nicole’s biggest supporters and their children consider her one of the coolest and most fun aunties they have!

Kylah Darden

Flower Girl

Kylah is the daughter of the bride and groom and their first born. Kylah is one of the most amazing little girls anyone could ever meet. She is smart, funny, loving and the life of the party everywhere she goes! She knows every dance on Fornite and you can expect to see all of them the night of the wedding, if she isn’t chasing her little brother around. Dwayne and Nicole are beyond proud of this beautiful young lady.

Tyson Darden

Ring Bearer

Tyson is the son of the bride and groom. Adventurous and wild describes Tyson best. There isn’t a shelf he won’t break or climb, a person he won’t try to tackle, or something NON edible, that he won’t try to eat. Despite the toddler attitude, Tyson is very bright and gives the biggest hugs. He is their little sour patch kid, first he is sour, then he is sweet! Nicole and Dwayne ask that everyone join together to make sure Tyson doesn’t eat or break anything at the venue. They thank you for your efforts in advance!
