Just like anywhere you travel there can be scams, so just be mindful! When in doubt ask a fellow Colombian 😉. There will be a lot of people trying to have you buy something or take a photo or try to perform for you. Just kindly say “no gracias” and keep it moving and you’ll be ok! 😊

Question

What is the weather like in Cartagena?

Answer

Expect warm, tropical weather in Cartagena during March. Daytime highs average around 30–31°C (86–88°F) with plenty of sunshine and occasional brief showers. Nights are warm and humid, with lows around 24–26°C (75–79°F). The Caribbean Sea is perfect for swimming, and the UV index is high—so don’t forget sunscreen, hats, and light, breathable clothing. It’s a beautiful time to visit, with mostly dry, sunny days—ideal for celebrating and exploring!

Question

Where are some recommendations?

Answer

We primarily recommend staying inside the walled city if you are alone, but if you find a small or large group to hang out with we recommend going to the art district known as Getsemani, which is famous for its hanging flowers and colorful buildings that are a 12 minute walk from Nacar/Sofitel.
