We're getting married!

We started working together seven years ago and after a year decided to mix business with pleasure. In her typical workaholic fashion Ashley was working late on a Friday night and on her way home decided to stop by the local bar for a quick drink with co-workers. This was the first time Ashley interacted with Tom even though they had worked together for a year. As a self-proclaimed ladies man Tom was used to woman falling for his kind words, jokes, and admiration but Ashley completely shut him down and did everything she could to let Tom know how uninterested she was. All this did was light a fire inside Tom, for the next 7 days he was persistent with his charm trying to convince Ashley to hang out again. Ashley gave him another chance the next Friday and the rest is history. Moral of the story - if at first you don’t succeed, try, and try again.

The proposal took place in Oceanside, California. The Daleys were in town for their first west coast trip and Ashley’s dad came to San Diego for a big dinner in honor of Tom’s sister’s birthday, or so Ashley thought. The plan was to walk along the beach to watch the sunset but on this particular day sunny San Diego was not so sunny, it was completely overcast and looked like it would rain on Tom’s parade. Tom decided the show must go on so while walking on the beach he grabbed Ashley’s hand and promised to love her “from this day until his last” and asked “Will you marry me?” Ashley said “YES!” and our families who were witnessing from afar went wild. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Brooklyn!
