Let’s take it back to the very beginning—Carly and Nick first crossed paths at age 3, playing micro-mini soccer. Carly was probably running in the wrong direction, while Nick was busy scoring goals. Fast forward to 9th grade, they reconnected at Williamstown High School. They were part of the same friend group, though not particularly close at the time. Nick went on to play baseball at Widener University, and Carly played soccer at Lock Haven University. Both graduated in the spring of 2019. Then, in the summer of 2021, fate (and a local dive bar—if you know, you know) brought them back together. Sparks officially flew in Atlantic City, and the rest is history. #KissKiss
On September 28, 2024, Nick proposed to Carly in the middle of a sunflower field—her favorite flower, of course—at Dalton Farms, all while a hurricane was rolling through. The storm was named Helene, coincidentally the same name as Carly’s grandmother who had passed earlier that year. As if on cue, the clouds parted at the perfect moment right before Nick got down on one knee. After she said yes, he surprised her with a celebration that included their immediate family and closest friends. The night was filled with laughter, happy tears, and plenty of Surfsides.
