In the heart of Boston, fate smiled upon us in an unexpected place —a cozy German beer hall with picnic tables, schnitzel, and plastic silverware — thanks to Katy's roommates, Emily and Tori ❤️, who orchestrated a blind date. This chance meeting ignited a lifelong love. We spent hours at the beer hall getting to know one another and both ran home to our roommates to discuss the evening. Not playing it cool, we found every excuse to see one another after that. Seeing movies, going on walks in the Arboretum, and showing off our little corners of Boston…. We quickly realized that we loved being together and doing everything together. It became evident that our hearts had synchronized in a beautiful harmony; we were undeniably in love. As our story unfolded, we decided to make a bold decision and move across the country. We packed up a UHaul and the CRV and headed to Denver. The Rocky Mountains welcomed us with open arms and we have loved exploring this part of the country with new friends and old (like Emily, our cupid, who lives 1 mile from us). Together, we have navigated the ups and downs of life's journey - supporting each other through COVID, layoffs, getting locked out of our house, broken tail bones, and much much more. Can’t forget about the fun times, too! We’ve traveled to Italy and Mexico and all around the states, mountain biked in Crested Butte (thanks, Dave!), been to three Formula 1 races, skied, summited 14ers, attended Taylor Swift’s concert in the 10th row, camped, and ran two marathons (Adam running... Katy cheering). All of this, in addition to just enjoying the quiet and peaceful moments at home together, has truly been a gift since day one. As we celebrate our marriage on December 22nd, we look back with gratitude at the twists and turns that brought us together. From a chance meeting to a cross-country move, our story is a testament to the enduring power of love, destiny, and the magic of shared adventures. We can't wait to see what the next chapters of our story hold as we continue to explore the world and create beautiful memories together.
