Travel Note

Things to do

Downtown Aiken Downtown Aiken is cute, walkable, and easy to spend a few hours in. There are lots of local shops, coffee spots, and great places to grab lunch or dinner. If you have time, just wander — it’s full of charm and gives you a great feel for the town. North Augusta North Augusta has some great outdoor spots if you want fresh air. The Riverwalk and Brick Pond Park are great for a walk, especially if the weather’s nice. There are also plenty of casual places to eat and hang out nearby. Hammond’s Ferry is one of our favorite spots (where we got engaged!) It’s right on the river and has a fun, relaxed vibe with restaurants, drinks, and great views.
