Our favorite for true Austin tex-mex is Fresa's! Every single thing on the menu is to die for - must try their green apple guac and avocado margarita if you go!
South Congress Avenue
South Congress is ground zero for Austin Flavor! Our must-see list: Tecovas: get your boots shined or purchase a pair of boots and get them branded. Pro tip: they serve drinks so be sure to grab an adult beverage while shopping. Mufrais: if you've ever wanted to design your own custom western hat, Mufrais is the place to go! They'll pour you up a strong one while you browse their hats and accessories. This place is the coolest! Allen's Boots: iconic old school boot shop in the middle of South Congress Ave. Head on in to try out a few pairs! After a long day of shopping and walking around, be sure to stop in at South Congress Hotel's bar (one of our favorites) for a cold drink or head next door to Café no Se for lunch.
