We will be having a Catholic Mass for our wedding ceremony. Our Lady of Sorrows is Evan's home parish—where he went to grade school, grew up attending Mass, and made many life-long friendships. During the Mass, there will be prayers, scripture readings, the celebration of the Eucharist (Holy Communion), and a special blessing for the couple. What if I’m not Catholic? We are so grateful that you will be attending and sharing in this special moment with us! During Communion, we warmly invite you to come forward with your arms crossed to receive a blessing from the priest. Your presence and participation mean so much to us, and we would love for you to feel included in this sacred part of the ceremony.
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal attire—think cocktail dresses or dressy separates for women, and suits or blazers with slacks for men. We want you to feel comfortable while looking your best as we celebrate together!
While we love your little ones, we have decided to make our wedding adults-only. We hope you can use this as a date night!
If your invitation was addressed to you and a guest, please RSVP with your guest’s name so we can reserve a place for both of you.
After the ceremony, there will be a period of time for the wedding party to take photos and prepare for the reception. During this time, we invite you to visit one of our recommended spots listed on our "Places to Visit" tab, or if you'd prefer, take a break at home before joining us at the reception. We want you to be refreshed and ready to dance the night away!
We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, as we’ve arranged for a professional photographer to capture these special moments. However, we’d love for you to snap away during the reception! We will also have opportunities for you to share your photos and videos with us, so we can relive the night through the moments you captured.
