Maid of Honor
Vicky and I have been friends since we were 11 years old. Always in the same classes, but never close. It wasn't until the Drill Team (Eagle Escorts) brought us together in high school that we became inseparable - like sisters. She moved to Austin our Sophomore year of college to live with me. You could always find us on Sixth Street, at the Sigma Pi house, or having a dance party in our living room. After that year, we wanted to kill each other! We got over it, though. Since then, our sister status has been in tact for many, many years and I am proud to say I have a beautiful niece and hilarious nephew to show for it. Today, she lives in Missouri with her wonderful fiancée, John, and his two children, Vivi and Grant. That's four children! Our visits these days are a little more couch-driven with takeout included. We like to have long chats, watch Netflix, read, or just nap. We have found it delightful growing old together! I'm so grateful for our loving and trusting friendship, and so proud that she agreed to be my Maid of Honor. I love you so much, sister.
Best Man
Officiant
This was the most normal photo I could find of the two of us. Daniel, Don and I all met at Fleming's. I knew Daniel was special the moment I met him. We got into all kinds of shenanigans and also were there for each other during times of need. He is one of the funniest, smartest, most talented, and kindest people I know, and we are so proud to call him our friend. He's a doctor now, living in West Virginia, and it means so much to us that he was able to make time to play this important role in our very special day. Love you so much, baby brother.
Flower Girl
Kenley is one of Vicky's little miracles, and it has been such a joy watching her grow up. She was a feisty one in her younger years, but always so sweet, kind, caring and helpful when she wanted to be. I used to joke with Vicky that if she ever missed me, she could just go poke at Kenley and there I am! At 11, I find her absolutely amazing! She's so beautiful, artistic, funny, smart, sensitive, helpful and caring. She loves dancing around the living room, like her aunt and her momma, and has even been helping me with some wedding details. When Vicky first told her that kids were not invited to the wedding she wouldn't have it, and I'm so glad she stuck to her convictions. I couldn't imagine this day without my sweet girl there to support me. We are so happy that Kenley will be an important part of our special day, and walk down the aisle with me. Aunt Crissy loves you BIG, K!
Songstress & Land Mermaid
Becca and I met at P.F. Chang's at the beginning of the millennium. She, Lisa, Rachel and I quickly became the best of friends. Little did I know they would become my lifelong girl squad. We spent many nights either watching Becca play at a local Austin venue or I would just listen to her CD at home. We also managed to find ample time to annoy Adam Doss, while staying up laughing until 3AM on the patio. More than twenty years later, and living in different corners of the country, we still find the time to get on a group text when we find something funny and visit each other when we can. We are so honored that she agreed to be a part of this special moment. I don't think I could have had it any other way. Thank you, Becca, for humoring me and my love for terrible pop music. I love you so much!
