Because of hurricane Hillary, Coronado has issued a boil water advisory and is recommending to not use tap water at this time. Please only drink from bottled water. The hotel is taking all measures to keep you safe by bringing in clean ice and water, and will update us accordingly.
THE WEDDING HAS MOVED ALL EVENTS TO THE HOTEL DEL CORONADO
Yes.
Our wedding guest preferred attire is beach/coastal cocktail. Think blazers and sport coats for men (ties not required) and dresses and jumpsuits for women. No jeans. We’ll be on a patio for ceremony/cocktail hour, so no need to worry about heels digging into grass or sand. Here's a Pinterest board for some inspiration: https://pin.it/5vnmxZk
San Diego International Airport (SAN)
With traffic, up to 30 mins. We encourage you to take an Uber/Lyft/Taxi from the airport.
San Diego is a great city to drive around, so we recommend renting a car if you're planning on staying here for an extended period. If you're only planning on hanging out at the resort, no transport besides an Uber to/from the airport will be necessary. The Hotel charges $39/night ($19 if you book with our room block) for parking, so be aware of that if you plan on renting a car for the week/weekend.
The Hotel provides daily shuttle service from 9am-9pm into downtown Coronado, so you can explore the amazing beaches, hotels, shopping, and dining it has to offer. We encourage you to check out the Hotel Del Coronado for a historic experience on the #1 beach in the U.S. (this is also where we got engaged!).
Unfortunately, due to hurricane Hillary, the beach water may be unsafe to swim in. Use your discretion and be careful. The Loews pool is beautiful and the silver strand beach is a great place to take a walk or bike ride. For the best beach day experience, we suggest taking the Loews shuttle to the Hotel Del Coronado.
Sorry, no kids allowed!
