Collin and Corianne knew each other through Kirby Woods Baptist Church puppet ministry before they started to date. During this time they built a friendship that would carry over into their next step of life.

On a whimsy, Collin and Cori were talking one night when he decided to ask her if she would go out on a date with him. At his request, they saw the Cinderella live action and ate dinner at Abner's chicken. That first date for a 15 and 16-year-old soon became more.

After spending almost four years together, the couple decided it was finally time for them to get married. Collin was talking to his mother about life when he realized that Corianne really was the one who made him the happiest. He did not want to spend his life without her, and decided that it was time to propose, and spend the rest of their lives together.
