Mackenzie was on her way to get dinner on a quiet Friday evening, when she accidentally got on the wrong freeway. Instead of changing directions, she said to herself "well, I guess I'll get gas while I'm going this way!" She again, made a wrong turn, and thought how very unlike herself this was. As she exited the freeway she looked over and saw a local brewery called Pedals & Pints who had a band playing some live music. Mackenzie went in, but the place was completely packed inside and outside...except for one more chair next to the sound board. She sat down and admiring the music when the sound man for the band took a phone call next to her, where she overheard him saying, "if the rain got in the barn last week, the hay will be moldy and we can't feed it to the horses." Mackenzie laughed to herself, knowing that moldy hay is not a conversation she usually hears from other people outside of her family ranch. Without looking over she jokingly said "rain got your hay, too huh?" and giggled. The sound man looked over, locked eyes with her, and said "Haha yeah! Darn moldy hay...I'm Dewey!" They shook hands, and spoke all about their love for the country lifestyle they both live, how they are both worship leaders, and their wholehearted love for Jesus. They shared information, and have been speaking every day since. Whoever thought two people could be so grateful for moldy hay ;)
