Brandon and Ilyse's first date was at Busy Bee Cafe, a 50's style-themed diner. The two of them had breakfast food for dinner. After hours of talking, the restaurant had closed, but the wait staff didn't have the heart to kick them out! Brandon and Ilyse both knew each other were, "The One" on this first date. (Which lasted eleven hours!) Every month on the 2nd, Brandon and Ilyse go back to Busy Bee, where they are greeted by the same wait staff and share breakfast for dinner.

Brandon and Ilyse were on a cabin trip in Big Bear with their mutual friends when Brandon asked Ilyse to be his girlfriend.

Brandon and Ilyse were set to go to Lake Tahoe for Labor Day weekend with Brandon's family. The second they arrived in Tahoe, Brandon made Ilyse change her clothes and said that he wanted to close his Apple Watch rings and suggested they go on a hike. Brandon took Ilyse to a spot overlooking Lake Tahoe with the sunset reflecting off the lake. As some of you know, they bring a portable tripod with them on trips and use their Apple Watches to take self-timed photos. Brandon asked to do one more picture and dropped to his knee, Ilyse was still posing for the timed photo, completely oblivious and he was on his knee for what seemed like an eternity before she turned around and realized what was happening! Brandon planned the proposal perfectly and even snuck mini bottles of wine in his backpack for them to toast to the beginning of the rest of their lives.
