It all started back at Coachella Music Festival in 2018. It was a scorching April weekend in the desert. Courtney was working at The A List, managing celebrities at the VIP festival parties. Johnny and his friend, Jarett, were invited by Courtney's boss, Ashlee, to stay at the staff house and join in on the fun. Both unaware of what the weekend had in store, Courtney and Johnny were surprised to meet each other in the living room and learn they were staying at the same property all weekend. Ashlee whispered to all the girls.... "Someone has to marry him! He's single and truly the most amazing guy." That weekend, the friendship began. While Johnny had a very busy 2018 and 2019, traveling to the South of France, Mexico, London and football games – there were a handful of group hangouts, but not much more. One year later, at Coachella – Johnny brought Courtney a birthday cake all the way from Los Angeles, and it was clear that they would be more than just friends. You may hear different stories of where and when their first date was, who 'defined the relationship' or who said 'I love you' first (both Courtney), but what's clear is they were 100% made for each other. From quarantining together to helping each other heal their broken bones – the two had proved that they were a good team. Johnny proposed in Cabo on April 8th, 2023, three days before Courtney's 30th birthday -- which turned out to be the best day of her life (even on crutches). They will always be grateful for those two wild weekends in the desert. xo
