This is Makenna and Alex’s first ever photo together in July of 2019. Alex surprised her with a weekend getaway. Night one was an Eric Church concert at Bluesfest with Alex’s group of friends.

Same night - little did they know they’d be spending forever together

Night #2 - Mont Tremblant. Alex would often travel here as a kid. Makenna had never been. Once they arrived, she was in awe. It was deemed “their spot”. 5 years later this is where he proposed!

Same weekend, morning just before leaving. Alex burnt his chest and looked like a lobster. Sipping pina coladas on the beach is one of their fav memories from this day

Thousand islands cruise weekend getaway just a few short weeks later - July 2019

First Christmas together, December 2019!

February 2020. Back in Mont Tremblant and took their traditional picture. They spent the weekend with Alex’s parents, Cindy and John, and Alex’s brother John and sister in law Jenna.

Same weekend, different angle!

He introduced her to one of his favourite winter hobbies - skidooing! They love spending weekends riding the skidoo and stopping in at Quinn’s Inn for lunch.

Sometimes when they’d hangout, she would force him into “self care nights” and do face masks.

April 2020 - Alex and Makenna biked from her parents house in Cornwall all the way to the Long Sault parkway on the bike path. With the pandemic in full swing, they made the most of outdoor activities

April 2020 - he introduced her yet again to one of his favourite hobbies - four wheeling. Little did they know they’d be riding circles around the exact field they are getting married at in October!!

Makenna was supposed to move to Kingston in September of 2020 for school. Before they knew it would be postponed to online because of Covid, Alex helped her paint her new apartment.

Summer nights at the Cleary’s! Alex would always have his friends and family over at the Cleary residence for bonfires in May to celebrate his birthday and kick off the start to an awesome summer!

In June 2020, Alex obtained his BScN degree and celebrated with friends and family in the backyard for a graduation party since the ceremony itself was cancelled due to Covid

Weekend getaway using Makenna’s apartment in Kingston which she would be soon giving up due to school being online instead of in person. They made the most of their summer apartment getaways.

Camping trip to the Ivy Lea campground in the Thousand Islands. They grew a love for camping together and continue to go every summer.

September 2020 celebrating Makenna’s moms 49th birthday. Little did they know they would buy this house 3 years later and it be their first home together 💕
